Why I built it
Reading about infrastructure is useful. Operating it is different. The lab lets me practice network changes, virtualization, service recovery, monitoring, and security controls with consequences I can study.
AMS - LabA hands-on environment for virtualization, networking, security, automation, monitoring, and every system I want to understand from the inside out.
Overview
Reading about infrastructure is useful. Operating it is different. The lab lets me practice network changes, virtualization, service recovery, monitoring, and security controls with consequences I can study.
The environment combines clustered compute, segmented networks, internal DNS, firewall policy, monitoring, and services that can move and evolve as the lab grows.
The next phase is deeper automation, more intentional failure testing, better documentation, and dashboards that make the state of the environment understandable at a glance.
